Arkab comes to Chad to participate in the “Cimica Chad 2026” exhibition – New Algeria

Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, arrived today, Tuesday, at N’Djamena International Airport, the capital of Chad, at the head of a delegation that includes the Minister of Industry, Yahya Bachir, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Murad Ajal, the President and Director General of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, the President and Director General of Naftal, Jamal Sherdoud, and the President and Director General of the Algerian Cement Industries Complex (GICA), Rabah Kasoum, along with tires from the sector. Hydrocarbons, mines, energy and industry.
A statement by the ministry stated that the Minister of State and his accompanying delegation were received by the Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology of the Republic of Chad, Ndulinodji Alex Nyambaye, and His Excellency the Ambassador of Algeria to the Republic of Chad.
This visit comes within the framework of Algeria’s participation as the guest of honor in the International Exhibition for Mines, Quarries and Hydrocarbons “SEMICA TCHAD 2026”, where the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, participates in the work of this important event, which is held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, during the period from 21 to 2020. January 23, 2026, in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena.
This participation will enable Algeria to share its expertise, experience and vision in developing extractive industries, in a way that enhances the African dimension and South-South cooperation, and contributes to supporting efforts aimed at making the mining sector a strategic tributary to sustainable economic and social development on the African continent.
