Araqchi: Gulf lands are used to attack Iran and security in Hormuz is linked to American aggression – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed in statements to CBS that Iran is “stronger than some can see” and sees no reason to negotiate with the Americans. He added that Tehran “only targets American military assets, installations and bases.”

Araqchi pointed out that “the lands of the Gulf states are being used to attack Iran,” explaining that there are many examples of this. He also denied that Iran had closed the Strait of Hormuz, explaining that the reason for the lack of ship movement was “the lost security as a result of the American aggression.”

Regarding countries’ requests to secure safe passage for their ships, Araqchi stressed that “the decision rests with our military forces” in this regard.
