The army eliminates 4 terrorists in Ain Defla

On Sunday, detachments of the People’s National Army were able to eliminate four terrorists in the military sector of Ain Defla in the first military region, while recovering four machine pistols and a quantity of ammunition.

The Ministry of National Defense said in a statement: “Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and following a search and combing operation in the Jebel Amrouna area in the military sector of Ain Defla in the First Military Region, today, February 1, 2026, detachments of the People’s National Army were able to eliminate four (4) terrorists and recover four (4) Kalashnikov machine pistols and a quantity of ammunition.”

The same statement added that this operation, which is still ongoing, confirms the vigilance and determination of the People’s National Army forces to track down the remains of these criminals, until their final elimination.

At the end of last month, detachments of the People’s National Army were able to arrest 5 members of support for terrorist groups, while 28 drug dealers were arrested and attempts to bring 1 quintal of processed kif across the border with Morocco were thwarted.

The detachments also arrested, during specific operations across various military areas, in coordination with the joint security services, 28 drug dealers and thwarted attempts to bring a quintal and 74 kilograms of processed kif across the border with Morocco, and seized 3.5 kilograms of cocaine and 468,516 hallucinogenic tablets.

While other detachments arrested 263 people in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Saleh, and In Guezam, and seized 25 vehicles, 339 electric generators, and 213 pressure hammers, in addition to quantities of a mixture of gold ore, stones, and equipment used in illegal gold prospecting operations.
