An important statement for the Algerian community in Qatar – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Algerian Embassy in Qatar announced the suspension of consular services at its headquarters, starting Monday, March 2, 2026, until further notice.

The embassy explained in a statement addressed to members of the national community that the decision comes in view of the current security conditions taking place in the Middle East region, and out of concern for the safety of citizens and residents. She also indicated that the measure is based on the directives of the Qatari authorities calling for adopting a remote work system and taking the necessary precautionary measures.

The embassy confirmed that it will keep members of the community informed of any developments or instructions issued by the competent authorities, as soon as they become available.
