An Algerian is being beaten in a stadium in France because of the national flag!

A 17 -year -old Algerian was subjected to a violent elementary assault inside the Groubama Stadium Stadium in Lyon, just because he raised the Algerian national flag in honor of the star Rashid Ghazal.

The incident, which occurred in the fifteenth minute of Lyon’s match against Angie, turned into a shocking scene that once again exposed the true face of racism in France.

The two aggressors, who are Olympic supporters of Lyon, were not satisfied with breaking the moment of joy, but rather beating the young man, amid phrases full of hatred such as: “You are in France and I am not in Algeria”, in a disgusting reproduction of a colonial speech that the Algerians thought that it had ended for decades.

The victim assured himself to the newspaper “Labirger”, that the attack was not merely physical violence, but rather an insult to identity and belonging.

It is worth noting that the shock did not stop at the stadium, as the issue sparked widespread controversy on social media, and thousands of followers expressed their condemnation, stressing that the French stadiums have become a theater of a scandalous racist targeting the children of the Maghreb community.

While Rashid Ghazal’s return was supposed to be an appropriate eight years after the celebration, racism chose to snatch the spotlight.

As for the Lyon Club, he was satisfied with a cold statement in which he called on the young man to file a lawsuit against the aggressors, and said: “We are on the side of the victim if he wanted to file a complaint.”

However, this position seemed hesitant and does not rise to the level of moral crime committed, especially since such attacks are repeated in French stadiums without real deterrence.

This incident reveals the fragility of the French official discourse on equality, as Algerians and the members of the Maghreb live a daily discrimination in schools, workplaces and public space, and today they are facing it inside football fields. It is already not just an isolated fact, but additional evidence of France’s failure to fight the hate in its society.

Once again, the reality proves that France has not been freed from its colonial legacy, and that the mere raising the flag of Algeria still provokes some French to the point of violence. It is a shameful picture of a country that sings democracy, while he is unable to protect a young man who raises the banner of his homeland proudly.
