The Egyptian newspaper, Al -Shorouk, quoted the American source today, Sunday, as saying that “the full evacuation plan for the Gaza Strip and the displacement of its residents in the way that US President Donald Trump was no longer in place.”
The source stressed, according to the newspaper, that the current American administration supports a solution that ensures the end of the war in the Strip 19 months ago.
Earlier today, US President Donald Trump urged Israel and Hamas to conclude a deal in Gaza aimed at returning the kidnappers on October 7.
Trump wrote on his social network, “Truth Social”, in a publication: “They concluded a deal in Gaza, recover the hostages !!!”, in an attempt to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which Trump previously expected to be concluded within a week.
On Friday, US President Donald Trump said that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza is soon and we may reach it next week.
The US President has previously presented the idea of evacuating the Gaza Strip from its entire population and the United States administration to the Strip and turning it into the Middle East Rivera, and suggested that the Palestinians be displaced into Egypt, Jordan and other countries, which the two countries categorically rejected.
Egypt confirmed that it will not accept the enrollment of the Palestinians forcibly or voluntarily, developed a plan for the reconstruction and early recovery in the Strip, and was adopted by two Arab and Islamic summits, to turn to the Arab -Islamic plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
Last January, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi said, in response to the Trump proposal, that “the displacement of the Palestinians is an injustice that we cannot participate in,” stressing “the historical injustice of the Palestinians and their displacement previously will not be repeated again”, while Jordan stressed that the displacement of the Palestinians from the West Bank or Gaza is a “red line.”
Cairo is looking to host an international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip as soon as the ceasefire agreement is reached.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Badr Abdel -Ati, said, in a press conference yesterday with his Austrian counterpart, that Egypt will initiate coordination with the United Nations and the World Bank to hold the Cairo Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction; To implement the Arab Islamic plan, fix the population on their land, and confront all the “completely rejected” displacement plans, he said.
He noted the intensification of Egypt for the efforts to reach an agreement that injects the blood of innocent people in Gaza and put an end to the tragedy in Gaza, stressing that what is happening now is “killing for killing and crimes committed under the sight and hearing of the international community without any move that prevents these crimes.”
