The Algerian Red Meat Company (ALVIAR) will begin, starting next Saturday, the process of selling Eid sacrifices at the point of sale in Bir Tota (Algiers) at specific prices, ranging between 59 and 90 thousand dinars, as confirmed this Wednesday by the general director of the company, Ziani Ali.

Mr. Ziani explained, in a statement to LOAD, saying, “The process of selling Eid al-Adha rams will begin at the warehouses of the Algerian Red Meat Company located in Bir Tota, starting on Saturday, June 8, and lasting until the eve of Eid al-Adha, at specific prices depending on the size, ranging between 59, 79, and 90 thousand.” DJ.”

The representative of the public company confirmed that a “significant number” of rams had been received at its headquarters designated for sale in the Bir Tota area, and that the process of supplying livestock is continuing from its headquarters for fattening livestock from the company’s main farm located in the state of Djelfa, with the possibility of resorting to acquiring livestock from loyalists. Contractors with the company if necessary, emphasizing “rigor in veterinary supervision” before purchasing the sacrificial animal.

In this regard, Ziani explained that the supply of livestock will be daily according to demand, noting that preparations for the operation took place months ago, and that the company has gained experience that enables it to confront any emergency.

Regarding the health of the marketed livestock, the general director of the company stated, “The process is controlled, and all the marketed livestock are free of formal blemishes and diseases.” This is confirmed, according to him, by the veterinary certificate issued by the state’s veterinary departments, which accompanies the movement of the herd, and is an official document for the transit of livestock and Without it, it is not allowed to move from one state to another.

In addition to this, according to the same official, four veterinarians have been recruited at the point of selling sacrifices in Bir Tuta, who ensure constant monitoring of the rams until they are delivered to their owners.
