The Algerian ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Sufyan Barah, explained in an interview with “Youm7” newspaper. The ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee will be held. In the same regard, the ambassador stressed that Egyptian-Algerian relations enjoy unique characteristics, as they are relations whose roots extend deep into history, and whose branches branch out to reach broad horizons, based on a strong brotherhood and a long record of common struggle. It has become a living model of Arab solidarity and cooperation based on common visions.

Thus, the relations between Egypt and Algeria are considered a model to be emulated in the Arab world, as they are relations based on integration and common understanding.

The Algerian ambassador to Cairo noted that the comprehensive renaissance and tangible development leaps that Algeria is witnessing today; The country recorded economic growth of nearly 4% over the past year, while the value of non-oil exports exceeded $5 billion in 2023.

He added, “What has been achieved is the result of a clear vision established by the President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a vision that aims to improve the quality of life and consolidate sustainable development. The Algerian economy has continued in recent years to achieve steady growth, driven by policies to diversify sources of income, expand the industrial base, support manufacturing industries and renewable energy, and encourage exports outside the hydrocarbons sector.”
