Algeria needs civil society initiatives to enhance national cohesion

The head of the National Observatory for Civil Society, Ibtisam Hamlawi, stressed, in Tiaret, the importance of ideas and initiatives for civil society workers to enhance national cohesion in Algeria.

During her supervision of an interactive meeting with civil society organized by the National Observatory of Civil Society in the lecture hall of “Ibn Khaldun” University, Tiaret – that the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, confirms that Algeria needs the ideas and initiatives of civil society to enhance national cohesion.

The same spokeswoman emphasized that these interactive meetings organized by the observatory through the states aim to communicate the voice of civil society to the country’s higher authorities, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic related to making civil society an essential partner in local development.

She pointed out that within five months, interactive meetings were held across 30 states attended by 20 thousand collectors and 14 thousand heads of association, in addition to the activity of the members of the National Office of the Observatory who watch over the training of training for collective activists, where six summer universities were organized in this regard.

Hamlawi stated that these meetings are an opportunity to exchange ideas and networking between associations, stressing that detailed reports have been prepared on their outputs that were sent to the country’s higher authorities, as they include the concerns and suggestions of the participants.

For their part, the attendees, civil society representatives, praised this initiative, especially since it was decided to appoint a state representative for the National Observatory of Civil Society through all states working to coordinate with the local authorities and organize periodic meetings with them to find ways to embody proposals and initiatives.

On the other hand, the head of the National Observatory of Civil Society briefed on a sample of cleaning and decorating the neighborhoods of the city of Tiaret, which was carried out by young people, praising the spirit of citizenship and the high -end technical sense they enjoy.

It also valued the accompanying of the local authorities for these activities. Mrs. Hamlawi visited the “martyrs” square in the center of the city, where the commemorative monument of the martyr, the artist Ali Ma’ashi, and his two companions, Muhammad Jahlan and the generation of Bin Sitra are located.
