Prime Minister Seifi Gharib confirmed that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attaches great importance to the issue of legal security and its impact on economic development, highlighting Algeria’s determination to establish a safe and stable legal environment.
Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister supervised the launch of the activities of the National Forum on “Legal Security and its Impact on Economic Development” at the International Convention Center Abdellatif Rahal.
Gharib said, during his speech on the occasion of the opening of the National Forum on “Legal Security and its Impact on Economic Development,” that the President of the Republic attaches great importance to the issue of legal security and its impact on economic development, as he emphasized it on many occasions as it reflects his sound vision and Algeria’s determination to establish a safe and stable legal environment.
The Prime Minister added that the safe and stable legal environment facilitates and encourages investment, initiative and innovation, which contributes to upgrading the national economy and strengthening Algeria’s position as a leading gateway to Africa.
He also pointed out that President Tebboune put management at the heart of his concerns as it is one of the most important pillars of the development movement, as he ordered from the beginning to work to decriminalize the act of management and explicitly emphasized in his program the necessity of devoting a policy to protect honest state cadres practicing the act of management.
The Prime Minister continued, “Aware of all these transformations and challenges, the President of the Republic established the rules of legal security and strengthened the legislative and institutional framework to ensure that every investor and every economic initiative can launch and flourish in a safe and fair environment that encourages innovation, stimulates productivity, and ensures speed in decision-making.”
He explained that the legal and judicial system plays a pivotal role that goes beyond the function of resolving disputes to a more comprehensive function of providing legal reassurance, protecting the initiative, and ensuring the continuity of economic activity.
Gharib also stressed that the legal and judicial system makes justice an actual partner in development construction and not just a mechanism for correcting imbalances. This is one of the fruits of the comprehensive reforms witnessed by the justice sector to enhance the independence of the judiciary, modernize its work methods, and improve the level of its effectiveness.
