On Thursday, according to a statement by the ministry, in Resistance Square in the capital, the Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights, Abdelmalek Tacherift, accompanied by the Governor of Algiers, Abdelnour Rabhi, supervised the commemoration of the 46th anniversary of Victory Day (March 19, 1962 – 2026), under the slogan: “Immortal glories and renewed victories.”
The ceremony began with the raising of the national flag and the laying of wreaths on the memorial commemorating the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs.
The Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights stressed that commemorating this glorious anniversary falls within the framework of loyalty to the pure blood of the martyrs and pure souls, stressing that the era of victory represents a continuous historical process. Just as the ancestors won yesterday in the battle of liberation, Algeria today, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues to consolidate its gains in the battles of building, construction, and comprehensive advancement.
The same speaker also highlighted that the responsibility of preserving the trust left by the martyrs falls on the people of Algeria today, through loyalty in serving the country and working to preserve its unity, security and stability, calling for solidarity and work in a collective spirit for the advancement of the country.
The minister added that the generation of independence, imbued with the November spirit, is called upon to renew their resolve to build a strong and victorious Algeria, and to make Victory Day a milestone for renewing the covenant with the homeland and strengthening loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs and mujahideen.
