The Algerian national team played the second half, against Sudan, with 10 players, after the right winger, Adam Ouanas, was sent off in the last moments of the first half for receiving two yellow cards.
The Algeria coach concluded, “I am satisfied with the performance of our players. I noticed several positive things, but we must continue working to create greater harmony.”
The Algerian national team will face its Bahraini counterpart next Saturday, then the Iraqi national team next Tuesday.
The two teams that rank first and second in the group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
It is worth noting that Algeria is the holder of the Arab title. Which it won in the 2021 edition in Qatar, led by the same coach Madjid Bougherra.
