Today, Saturday, Algeria called on all parties to exercise “restraint” and “raise the spirit of responsibility,” to avoid exposing the Gulf region to further manifestations of insecurity and stability, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement said: “The negotiations that took place within the framework of the mediation carried out by the Sultanate of Oman raised high hopes for the possibility of reaching a peaceful settlement of the Iranian-American discussions. However, the faltering of these negotiations, which is currently manifesting in a military escalation with unexpected consequences, is a matter of great regret.”
The statement added that Algeria, “expressing its great concern about this development, calls on all parties to exercise restraint and uphold the spirit of responsibility, in order to avoid exposing the Gulf region to further manifestations of insecurity and stability.” The source is…
