Algeria and Tunisia enhance health cooperation between the two countries – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of Health, Professor Mohamed Siddiq Ait Messaoudane, received today, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters, his Tunisian counterpart, Dr. Mustafa Ferjani, in an expanded meeting that included members of the delegations of the two countries, according to the ministry’s statement.

The meeting came within the framework of strengthening the historical fraternal relations between Algeria and Tunisia, and raising the level of bilateral cooperation in vital sectors with a humanitarian dimension, most notably the health sector. The research included developing health systems, medical training, scientific research, health innovation, and confronting current and future health challenges at the national and regional levels.

The two parties stressed the necessity of expanding practical cooperation through joint programs, and activating coordination mechanisms between health and hospital institutions, to improve the quality of services provided to citizens, and to benefit from the expertise and competencies available on both sides, in order to achieve health integration and solidarity between the two peoples.
