Algeria and Somalia sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance judicial and legal cooperation – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Tuesday, in Algiers, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Algerian Ministry of Justice and its Somali counterpart, to enhance legal and judicial cooperation and exchange expertise and experiences, in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boudjemaa, and his Somali counterpart, Hassan Muallem Mahmoud Sheikh Ali.

Boujemaa stressed that the memorandum constitutes a starting point for enhancing human capabilities in the fields of training judges and prosecutors, modernizing methods of judicial work and managing judicial institutions, in a way that supports the effectiveness of judicial performance and the rule of law and facilitates citizens’ access to justice.

For his part, the Somali Minister praised the depth of fraternal ties between the two countries, considering that the memorandum of understanding constitutes an important platform for exchanging experiences and benefiting from the Algerian experience in developing the justice system and building capabilities, in a way that serves the interests of both countries and enhances confidence in justice institutions.
