The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, the ambassadors of the Arab countries that were subjected to military attacks..
According to a statement by the Foreign Ministry, this reception came under the direction of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and in light of the dangerous and rapid developments taking place in the Arabian Gulf region.
During this meeting, the Minister expressed Algeria’s full solidarity with the sisterly Arab countries that were affected by the attacks, stressing Algeria’s categorical rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries, or threats to the security and stability of their peoples.
Attaf stressed Algeria’s permanent support for its Arab brothers in the face of what he described as unacceptable violations and the human and material damage they caused, reiterating Algeria’s commitment to the principles of supporting just causes and respecting the sovereignty of states.
In the same context, the Minister reaffirmed Algeria’s position calling for an immediate halt to all forms of escalation, and for giving priority to the logic of dialogue and restraint, in order to spare the region further tension and prevent the conflict from expanding, warning of the dangerous repercussions of any security slide on regional and international peace.
This diplomatic move comes within the framework of Algerian efforts aimed at supporting regional stability and encouraging political solutions as the only option to overcome crises, away from the logic of force and military escalation.
