Ajal receives a delegation from the Chinese company Huawei – New Algeria

Today, Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, Murad Ajal, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, received a delegation of senior officials from Huawei, the Chinese dealer in the field of telecommunications and consumer electronics, headed by Li Xin, President General of Huawei for the North, West and Central Africa region.
A statement from the ministry stated that during the meeting, which came within the framework of efforts to enhance external cooperation, ways to expand areas of international partnership for Algeria were discussed, and areas of cooperation and partnership between the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies (through its bodies) and the Chinese dealer Hawari were discussed, especially with regard to the development of various technologies in the fields of energy and new and renewable energies.
Minister Murad Ajal began the meeting, which took place in the presence of an important number of key officials in the ministry, by recalling the depth of the historical relations between Algeria and China and the strength of the economic partnerships, which is clearly evident through the large presence of Chinese economic operators in various fields in the Algerian market.
In the same context, Ajal stressed Algeria’s interest in strengthening these relations, especially in light of the good economic climate that Algeria now provides to foreign investors and the important opportunities it provides to them, especially in the field of energy and renewable energies.
Based on the statement, Minister Ajal stressed his interest in the training and transfer of expertise file, which is considered a priority for the sector that is interested in Chinese expertise, given the satisfactory results it achieves in the Algerian market through its experience, credibility, and commitment to its pledges in implementing the projects entrusted to it.
For his part, Li Xin expressed his country’s great interest in deepening the areas of partnership with Algeria, appreciating the important opportunities that Algeria has now granted to its foreign partners, in which Huawei wants to be an active party. Especially in the field of accompanying Algeria in developing the uses of technology in the field of energy and renewable energies and ensuring the smooth implementation of the energy transition program.
As a culmination of the meeting’s work, it was agreed to hold a joint meeting between experts from the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies and Huawei, in order to study the offers proposed by the Chinese dealer, in order to determine the priority axes and areas in the partnership file between the two parties, based on which appropriate decisions will be taken and meetings will be held that will frame the cooperation project.
