I confirmed Ministry of Agriculture Rural Development and Marine Fishing said that the afforestation campaign that was launched on Saturday morning witnessed masses of citizens flocking to the planting sites identified by forest governorates across all states, to participate in the process.

Statement from the Ministry– To plant 5 million shrubs in one day, consisting of several types, 71% of which are forest trees, 26% of fruit trees, and 3% of seedlings of an aesthetic nature, as 5 million and 300 thousand seedlings were harnessed, distributed across all states.
These varieties were chosen according to a balanced approach that takes into account the economic, environmental and aesthetic dimensions, and the characteristics of each region of the country. This process will involve planting 100,000 argan trees, in support of biological diversity and valuing this variety of high environmental and economic value, along with carob and olive.
This campaign witnessed the participation of various public bodies, the military establishment, many economic institutions from the public and private sectors, bodies and associations, and citizens, who were strongly involved in this initiative.
