The leaders of global religious diversity called on governments and religious leaders around the world to condemn the war of genocide, starvation and destruction in Gaza, immediate and urgent intervention by all means and capabilities to stop this massacre, and to put pressure on the Israeli occupation government to stop this humanitarian catastrophe, stressing that this tragedy that shook the human conscience would not have happened if there was no absence of the effectiveness of international law and international humanitarian law Activating international accounting mechanisms.
This came at the conclusion of the works of the second international summit of religious leaders, “The role of religious leaders in resolving the conflicts” that it organized in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian Prime Minister in cooperation with the Islamic World League, and launched by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, the company of the Secretary -General of the Association, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al -Issa, in the presence and participation of 400 personalities from the world.
In their statement, religious leaders urged the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation government to adhere to the dictated international and human rights covenants and covenants, and work to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, ensure that their legitimate rights are obtained, and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
In this context, they stressed their support for the final document of the high -level international conference, to settle the Palestinian issue with peaceful solutions and implement the solution of the two countries, at the ministerial level, which was sponsored and preserved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in partnership with the French Republic, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, determined to harness all their spiritual and societal influence; To mobilize political and diplomatic support and support for the document in their countries, and at the level of areas to which their influence extends.
Religious leaders affirmed their sincere determination to provide an ethical framework that contributes to resolving successive conflicts, which weakened the universal values of humanity, and woven the causes of division and hatred.
In his speech during the opening session of the summit, the Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim welcomed the participants at the summit of the leaders of global religious diversity, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation for their commitment for peace, justice and humanity.
The Malaysian Prime Minister stressed that all religions seek to enhance humanity, adding: Yes, there are differences, I am a Muslim, I practice Islam, but I also know that in Islam we are talking about ((mercy to the worlds)), that is, mercy towards everyone to maintain balance and moderation stipulated in ((a nation in the middle)), and I also know the meaning of (to know) Rather, it indicates a deeper understanding of learning and absorbing the nature of the differences.

The Malaysian Prime Minister warned of the seriousness of the theories of clash and conflict, such as the “clash of civilizations” theory that says the inevitability of the clash, indicating that the clash is in fact a clash of ignorance, not a clash of civilizations.
He stressed that the situation in the Gaza Strip is painful, noting that the crisis in the Strip showed that the international community has lost its enthusiasm and its passion for justice and humanity, as for the past fifty and sixty years we were fighting colonialism and the exploitation of the human being for its human brother, but Gaza is an example of this, every day we see the killing of children, the bombing of homes and people, asking: What teach us religion, and where is the voice of the conscience that stems from our faith Moral?
For his part, the Secretary -General of the Islamic World League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al -Issa, welcomed the participants at the summit, stressing that it is being held in an exceptional stage in our contemporary history, in which many tragedies and challenges have exacerbated our global system and its international legitimacy.
He stressed that the peace of our world is not just an option, but rather a necessity related to its existence and the credibility of its UN charter, in which the peoples of the United Nations on the twenty -sixth of June 1945 AD have become on themselves to save future generations from the scourge of war, which during one generation brought to humanity twice sorrows that are unable to describe, as they have respected the emerging obligations. On treaties and other sources of international law, and to live together in peace and good neighborhood.
He added: We meet while we realize the vital role of religious leaders in influencing the conscience of believers in religions around the world, and they are the ones who are eighty percent of the inhabitants of the globe, and their spiritual influence has great importance in stimulating the universal human values and principles, and immunizing ideas from influencing them with any concepts of extremism, violence and terrorism, especially its environments in which they live and feed on them, Hate, racism, discrimination and exclusion.
Al -Essa explained that the summit comes to place the leaders of religious diversity in front of the credibility of their call to universal human values.
He also explained that the summit is held to confirm that spiritual references are not only concerned with abstract preaching, but rather to be an active party in the peace industry by guiding its followers from its spiritual position to the centrality of human dignity according to its universal principles.
Al -Issa stressed that those principles that we believe in are not slogans, data, or appeals that we launch on passing occasions, but rather a permanent era that is embodied in our discourse, translated by our behavior in word and action, and the spiritual institutions rise: “education and motivation”, to prove that the true religious values are prohibited by virtue with all their meanings.
He pointed out that the sermons of history taught us that the peace of our world must have awareness that the clash and conflict are born only evil that affects everyone, and that its creatures, even if they deceive them in their beginning, are the brightness of victory, but at the end of them, they are disappointed that they inherit a stigma that is a shame that supplies the chapters of their history as it is the power Adult.
The Secretary -General of the Association expressed the great concern of the wars and conflicts witnessed by the international wars and disputes that threaten the security of the world and the stability of its societies, noting that what is happening today in the Gaza Strip of the extermination and famine in front of the views and hearing of the international community is considered a dangerous precedent in the principles of human rights. Adherence to its solidarity charter, and then threatening the cohesion of its nations, whose union announced to support the just issues in compliance with its historical charter.
He emphasized that the experiences have proven that the leaders of religious diversity have an effective impact on the practice of religious diplomacy, which is creative diplomacy, through dialogue, mediation and reconciliation, because of their important balance from their spiritual standing, which enables them to contribute to the influence of defusing crises, especially awareness of their followers of preventive behavior, stressing his Excellency that these roles are not a substitute for political paths, Rather, it is a supportive tributary.
From this standpoint, the Secretary -General of the Association announced two initiatives, which were the first to activate the spiritual and moral role of the leaders of religious diversity around the world to contribute to supporting the efforts of peaceful solutions to conflicts out of their spiritual influence in societies and peoples believed in religions.
In this regard, Al -Essa stressed that the association will work to complete the sub -initiatives of this initiative in support and support for peaceful efforts, indicating that the association began this through one of its most important pillars, which is an initiative: “Building bridges of understanding and peace between East and West” hosted by the United Nations in New York on the fourteenth of June 2023 AD.
The second initiative was, according to what the Secretary -General of the Association announced in protecting minorities in the countries of religious, ethnic and cultural diversity, in a manner that guarantees their legitimate rights, freedoms and their dignity due, given the suffering of many of these minorities from marginalization, especially the issuance of laws targeting their religious identity, with the proposal of coexistence programs and legislative frameworks supporting these minorities in their homelands, including the wise treatment of deviation Civilized principles of their national constitutions, through some extremist laws.
Within the works of the summit, five scientific sessions were held, the first discussed the subject of conflicts with a religious dimension: dismantling the causes and addressing the paths, and the second discussed the axis of the role of religious diversity in confronting the manifestations of violence and calls for conflict, while the third reviewed the issue of religious diplomacy and the contribution supporting the efforts of fair peaceful settlements, and the fourth session dealt with the issue of exchanging experiences and successful experiences in managing religious diversity The fifth topic “Gaza tragedy: the mirror of international deficit and falsifying human values.
The final statement of the summit included the support of the contents of the two historical documents: (Makkah Al -Mukarramah Document) and (Document of Building Bridges between Islamic Doctrines), issued by the Muslim World League unanimously unanimously from the university of the university in Makkah Al -Mukarramah, which received their international conferences with generous care from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz -; Because it contains firm principles, and a central foundation to establish the values of coexistence and tolerance between the followers of religions and cultures, and to perpetuate a conscious civilized discourse that embodies the culture of moderation, and addresses the practices of injustice, clash and absolute, unjustified hatred, and calls for the expansion of the horizons of acquaintance, cooperation and benefit on the ground of humanitarian participants and noble values.
In their joint statement, the conference recommended the formation of a permanent committee for the summit, which includes representatives of the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Islamic World League, which takes the early preparation of the works of the third international summit of leaders of religious diversity, and to develop a road map that looks forward to ways to overcome the challenges and risks attached to human societies from a spiritual perspective.
The conference adopted the initiative of the Islamic World League aimed at activating the spiritual and moral role of the leaders of religious diversity, through their contribution to support peaceful solutions to conflicts, and to invest their influence in societies and peoples believed in religions.
They also adopted the association’s initiative related to the protection of minorities in the countries of religious, ethnic and cultural diversity on the detail shown in the speech of the Secretary -General referred to above.
Participants thanked the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Islamic World League for their cooperation in the success of this summit, hoping that the next summit will take place in better international conditions.
