The Algerian national team for local players succeeded in achieving a precious victory against Uganda, in the first round of the group stage of the 2024 African Nations Cup for local players, which was hosted by the Mandela National Stadium in the city of “Kampala”, where the Cubs of Bougara knew how to follow the confrontation in their favor.

Although the Uganda team had the land and the public, it did not succeed in keeping the high pattern imposed by Ayman Mahyis, and the “Green” superiority appeared clearly in the acquisition and effectiveness in front of the goal, amid a weak defensive performance from the landowners, to end the meeting with the victory of the Algerian national team with three clean, advanced by the goal difference against the Guinean team, which surpassed the Niger with a goal without a response.

Desert warriors will meet in the next match, South Africa, next Friday, August 8, 2025, at the “Mandela National Stadium” in the city of “Kampala”. This confrontation will be an appropriate opportunity to enhance the team’s chances of qualification.
