A partnership between the Federation of University Sports and the Federation of Judo – New Algeria

A partnership and cooperation agreement was signed in Oran between the Algerian Federation of University Sports and the Algerian Federation of Judo, in a step aimed at strengthening the status of university sports in Algeria and developing it at various levels, according to what was reported yesterday, Sunday, by the University Sports Authority.

The source confirmed toAlgerian News AgencyThe signing ceremony of the agreement took place the day before yesterday, Saturday, at the Miloud-Hedfi Olympic Complex, on the sidelines of the National Judo Championship (individual), in the presence of the President of the Algerian Federation of University Sports, Haj Ahmed Mohamed, and the President of the Algerian Federation of Judo, Selini Yacine, in addition to a number of officials, sports coaches, and members of the two bodies.

The agreement stipulates several provisions aimed at promoting university sports, especially judo, through organizing joint training courses, holding competitions and tournaments at the national and international levels, as well as exchanging experiences between coaches and athletes.

Haj Ahmed Mohamed pointed out that this initiative comes within a comprehensive strategy to advance university sports and enhance the integration of students into sports activity, explaining that cooperation with the Algerian Judo Federation will contribute to developing young talents and enabling them to achieve advanced levels in national and international competitions.

For his part, Sliney stressed that this partnership represents an important step to support university judo, stressing that the agreement will contribute to creating integrated training programs and organizing local and international championships, in addition to opening new horizons for cooperation with universities and training centers in various states.

This initiative falls within the efforts of public authorities and sports bodies to increase student participation in sports activities, thus contributing to the formation of an athletic generation capable of representing Algeria in international forums and raising the nation’s flag in various competitions.
