A new step to enhance the rapid vocational integration of young people in Algeria

The Ministry of Vocational Training and Vocational Education took a new step to benefit the aspirations of young people for a promising professional future, by signing 5 agreements between the Center of Excellence for Textiles and Leather and the GETEX Complex and its branches, aiming to enhance training through apprenticeships.
The Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Nassima Arhab, visited, according to a statement by the Ministry, within the framework of implementing the plan to modernize the vocational training and education sector, and enhancing the alignment of the training system with the needs of the labor market, the Center of Excellence for Textiles and Leather in Ain Bassam, Bouira Province.
The Minister followed up with a detailed technical presentation on the pedagogical and technological capabilities available to the center, and its specialized training programs in the Textile and Leather Division, as it is a strategic division with an economic and historical dimension, and a promising field for supporting national production and creating jobs.
The Minister of Vocational Training and Education affirmed that developing centers of excellence is a strategic and sovereign choice for the state, aiming to ensure qualitative training in conformity with professional standards, and to promote the rapid and effective professional integration of sector graduates, by moving to a modern and open training model, based on actual partnership with economic institutions and linking training to professional and productive reality.
Five partnership agreements were signed between the Center of Excellence for Textiles and Leather and the GETEX Complex and its branches, in a step aimed at enhancing training through vocational training, receiving trainees within the professional community, and aligning training programs with the needs of the textile and leather sector, thus contributing to improving the ability to integrate vocational training graduates into the labor market.
The Minister also undertook a field tour that included a number of training workshops, during which she was briefed on the supervision conditions and the level of equipment, in addition to a visit to the Entrepreneurship Development Office (CDE), which is concerned with accompanying trainees and project holders and consolidating the culture of initiative and self-employment.
The Minister of Vocational Training and Education highlighted that the Center of Excellence in Ain Bassam is a basic building block within a comprehensive national vision that aims to build a national network of specialized centers of excellence, which will be a real lever for the development of national industry, and respond to the aspirations of Algerian youth for a stable and promising professional future, in harmony with the goals of sustainable development.
