The Public Organization for Nutrition and Poultry Breeding (ONAB) announced the provision of a significant stock of frozen chicken in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of ensuring the abundance of the product and contributing to price stability throughout the national territory.
The corporation explained, in a statement, that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the Food and Logistics Industries Complex (AGROLOG), with the aim of ensuring product abundance and contributing to price stability throughout the national territory.
The complex began gradually supplying the market with this material, pumping an initial quantity estimated at 2,000 tons, which will be gradually marketed through various approved distribution channels. Within the framework of supporting the purchasing power of citizens and contributing to controlling the market, the complex set the selling price of frozen chicken at 330 dinars per kilogram.
The complex also ensures, in parallel with marketing frozen chicken, the provision of fresh chicken daily at its sales points, to ensure regular supply and meet the needs of citizens throughout the holy month.
The complex has identified several points for marketing chickens in the state of Algiers, including the neighborhood markets, Zeralda in the center, Ain Al-Benyan in the center, Hussein Dey in the center, Casablanca in the center, Ben Talha – Sidi Moussa, Bir Tota, Bir Khadem, Sharaga, Sidi Abdallah (the new city), in addition to the spaces (Ramadan tents), in Onelf – Ain Al-Benyan, Al-Keriya – Sharaga, Saeed Hamdine – Bir Mourad Rais, Al-Ruwaiso, Al-Kitani, Bab Ezzouar, Rouiba, SAFEX.
Through this initiative, the Onab Complex affirmed its firm commitment to ensuring regular supply to the national market, supporting the purchasing power of citizens, and contributing to the stability of white meat prices during the holy month of Ramadan, while ensuring the provision of high-quality products that meet the needs of all citizens.
