The “Greens” started the match in a good rhythm, as the players tried to control the midfield through a quick exchange of the ball. She also scored some offensive attempts, but lacked the finishing touch in front of goal.
For its part, the Saudi national team relied on a tight defensive organization, while trying to exploit counterattacks. However, neither side succeeded in translating the few chances into goals, so the first half ended without changes in the score.
