The National Road Security Commission has begun implementing a national awareness campaign to prevent… Traffic accidents Coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, within the framework of enhancing the culture of traffic safety and reducing the risks of accidents during the fasting period.

This initiative falls within the context of implementing the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Al-Saeed Sayoud, aimed at intensifying prevention efforts during the holy month, under the slogan: “Ramadan brings us together… not traffic accidents that divide us.”

The campaign aims to raise the level of awareness among road users of the dangers of speeding, fatigue and exhaustion, while emphasizing the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and respecting the traffic law in order to preserve lives and property.

In the same context, the state delegations for road security across the various states of the country organized awareness-raising field outings that touched several road axes and public spaces, in addition to passenger transportation stations and gas stations, in coordination with the security services and various partners from civil society bodies, institutions and activities active in the field of Traffic safety.

During this national campaign, awareness brochures were distributed and practical guidance was provided to drivers on the principles of safe driving, especially during fasting hours, with a call to avoid excessive speed, respect the safety distance, and take rest periods when feeling tired.
