A Kuwaiti player falls victim to the security crisis in the region

A former Kuwaiti player, affiliated with the General Administration of Land Border Security of the Kuwaiti Army, has died at the present time, according to what was announced by the country’s Ministry of Interior.

In an official statement, the Ministry mourned Major Fahd Abdulaziz Al-Mujamd, 33 years old, and his colleague, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Imad Al-Sharrah, after they died while performing their national duty.

Media outlets attributed the incident to the security crisis taking place in the Middle East region due to the US-Iranian war.

Erem News reported that fragments of an Iranian war missile ended the lives of the two Kuwaiti officers.

Kuwait is located within range of the aircraft and missiles of the three warring parties, including the Zionist entity that is participating in the American-led bombing of Iranian territory.

In turn, the Iranian army responded with direct attacks on the occupying state and also bombed American military bases located on the territory of Gulf Arab countries such as Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced earlier that a girl, no more than 11 years old, died in the Capital Governorate as a result of a serious injury she sustained after falling shrapnel.

The deceased Fahd Abdulaziz Al-Mujamd is known in the Kuwaiti football community, as he previously played professionally in local clubs: Al-Salmiya, Al-Qadisiyah and Kazma.

Al-Mujamd decided to retire from football last summer, after a career that lasted 12 years in the Salmiya club jersey.

The Salmiya administration honored the former football player on the occasion of facing Al Arabi Club in the second division competitions of the Zain Premier League, on February 23.
