The national reserve football team arrived in Doha yesterday morning, Saturday, to participate in the upcoming Arab Cup, starting this Monday.
The delegation is led by Amin Maslouk, President of the Professional League, in the presence of local players, in addition to expatriate goalkeeper Ryan Yesley.
The census will be completed in Qatari territory, with the inclusion of various players active in the Gulf.
Under the leadership of coach Madjid Bougherra and his assistant Djameleddine Mesbah, the Greens seek to defend the crown won in 2021.
Bougherra was forced to summon Mohamed El Amin Toukai and Youssef Atal instead of Ayoub Ghazala and Mohamed Ezzi.
The Greens are in the fourth group with Iraq, Bahrain and Sudan, and the beginning will be with Brahimi’s teammates meeting Bahrain, next Wednesday (13:00 noon) at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.
The Greens will face the Sudan Falcons after noon next Saturday (14:30 p.m.), and the Arab champions will conclude the first round by competing with the Iraqi Lions (17:00 p.m.).
At the conclusion of the four-group stage, the first and second from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, and the winner will be known on the night of December 18th. The Algeria reserve team roster includes twenty-three players, as follows:
Goalkeepers: Farid Chaal, Rayan Yesly, Mohamed Hadid.
Defense: Houari Baouch, Noufal Khasif, Youssef Atal, Abdelkader Badran, Mohamed Al-Amin Toukay, Ashraf Abada, Reda Ben Chaaa, Mohamed Halaymiya.
