A Ghanaian refereeing team to manage the confrontation between Algeria and Burkina Faso – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the refereeing team that will officiate the Algerian national team’s match against the Burkina Faso national team, scheduled for this Sunday evening, for the second round of the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

The official website of “CAF” explained that Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ay Laria has been appointed as the main referee to manage this anticipated confrontation.

Laria will be assisted in his duties by Zakhal Siwela from South Africa and Soro Vatsawane from Lesotho, while the task of fourth official has been assigned to Abongile Tom from South Africa.

As for the video arbitration technology (VAR), Kenyan referee Decance Mimiza Nyagroa was chosen, with the help of his compatriot Stephane Yambi, along with Cameroonian Evariste Mnkwanda.

It is noteworthy that the national team’s match against Burkina Faso will take place this Sunday evening, starting at 18:30 Algeria time, as part of the second round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
