A German fan disrupts video technology for his team

A German fan affiliated with the Brussen Munster club, active in the second division of football, cut off the power supply to the video technology device during his team’s match against Hertha Berlin, yesterday.
Referee Felix Bickel went to review one of the shots after being summoned by his colleagues in the video room, as player Nico Koulis committed a foul on Frenchman Mikael Cuisance in the first half.
A masked fan, possibly belonging to the “Ultras” category, boldly rushed and disconnected the electrical cord of the video screen, which prompted the main referee to wait a full minute for the image to return.
Bickel did not delay long after that to decide to announce a penalty kick for the visitors, after seeking the help of the crew responsible for managing the video room.
Hertha Berlin player, Fabian Riese, succeeded in converting the kick into a goal, through which the visitors equalized just seconds before the end of the first half.
The representative of the German capital was able to come back from behind to win in the second stage, as Martin Winkel added the second goal in the 93rd minute.
The club comments on the incident
The management of the Brussen Munster club condemned the behavior of the fan through an official statement published after the end of the confrontation, which fell within the competitions of the 25th round of “Bundesliga 2”.
The club explained the details of the incident, later confirming its intention to uncover and punish those responsible.
It should be noted that Broson Munster is struggling to avoid falling.
The team was satisfied with scoring 26 points during 25 rounds, placing it in 14th place, with a slight difference (3 points) from the bottom of the standings, Magdeburg.
