A coordination meeting to follow up on the progress of development projects across municipalities – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

On Monday evening, the Governor of Algiers, Mohamed Abdel Nour Rabhi, chaired a meeting of the Executive Council devoted to assessing the progress of development projects and following up on the implementation of registered programs across various municipalities and sectors.
The meeting began with a detailed presentation on the status of the local development program projects supervised by municipalities, which includes 311 operations and neighborhood projects, including preparing and paving roads, repairing networks, and maintaining primary schools. The governor expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the pace of completion, especially with regard to projects that had previously witnessed delays.
The meeting also covered a comprehensive presentation of the projects of the Public Equipment Directorate, which included several sectors, including higher education, justice, vocational training, health, youth and sports, transportation, and national education, in addition to the interior sector and local communities. During the discussion, a number of obstacles that hinder the implementation of some projects were discussed, most notably the lack of real estate properties, the exploitation of some of them by citizens, in addition to difficulties associated with obtaining construction permits.
In this context, the governor stressed the need to take urgent measures to overcome these obstacles, calling for strengthening coordination between the various concerned parties, and organizing periodic meetings to ensure accelerating the pace of achievement and achieving the set goals.
