A comprehensive approach adopted by Algeria to combat breast cancer

Algeria affirmed its intention to combat breast cancer on the basis of an approach that seeks to raise awareness among women, of the importance of early detection, providing treatment services to protect them, and enhance prevention mechanisms, by taking advantage of the free detection.

The Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Dr. Siga of Moulouji, during the revival of the Arab Day to raise awareness of breast cancer, coinciding with the conqueror of October, the national awareness campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer under the slogan: “Early detection, a moment of unconsciousness that does not hesitate .. your life honesty” in partnership with the health sector.

The directorates of social activity and solidarity of the states and neighborhood cells of solidarity under the guardianship, in coordination with the health directorates, will activate this campaign, and work together to make this initiative a success throughout the country, and the actors in the process will participate in this awareness campaign, in a coordination coordination framework to spread the culture of early detection between women and introduce them to the possibility of high recovery in the case of diagnosis and early detection of the disease.

The minister stressed that Algeria, along the lines of the rest of the Arab countries, for the seventh time in a row, seeks to embody this initiative to confirm the determination to combat breast cancer on the basis of an approach that seeks to raise awareness among women, especially in remote areas of the importance of early detection, providing quality treatment services for their protection, and enhancing prevention mechanisms in their favor, through the benefit of women from free detection, in addition to material aid, and providing accompaniment The psychological need for injuries with this disease.

Moulouji called on the actors in this field of civil society to intensify volunteer and awareness work throughout the year, and through all means of communication, websites as well as social communication, to raise awareness among women of the importance of early detection, with the involvement of women who have recovered from breast cancer in such campaigns to present their experiences in the face of the disease and prevent it.

The Minister also praised the valuable efforts made by doctors and nurses from the White Army working in the health sector in this regard, as well as the current solidarity work of the associations active in the field, which is a link between the citizen and government interests, in addition to the efforts of the neighborhood cells of the national solidarity that cannot be overlooked, which works through the entire national territory in order to eliminate this disease.
