Mourad stresses the completion of the modern traffic management system in the capital – New Algiers

Murad began his working and inspection visit to the state of Algiers by visiting the command and control center of the General Directorate of National Security, where he received explanations about the operation of the automated management system for the tri-color traffic lights, as well as Video surveillance system In addition to the project to rehabilitate the command and control center.

By the way, the Minister recalled the priority given by public authorities to modernizing various public facilities.

The Minister pointed out the importance of exploiting these smart systems to increase traffic flow traffic movement In the capital and strengthening its security while informing the citizen and making him aware of the entry into service of video surveillance systems in anticipation of their adoption as a technical inspection mechanism for traffic violations.

In this regard, the Minister also stressed the need to accelerate the pace of completing this project as soon as possible and to think about ways to spread it across the major states.

Murad appreciated the step taken by the Algiers state authorities to implement a network of three-color traffic lights, which aims to direct traffic smoothly and eliminate the traffic congestion that the country’s capital is experiencing. He also appreciated the system of surveillance cameras operated by the national security services.

The Minister listened to various presentations, such as a presentation on tri-color traffic lights, and a presentation on video surveillance. The installation of three-color traffic lights falls within the project to regulate traffic on roads in the capital, within the framework of the yellow plan for the new strategic outlook for the development and modernization of the capital, where field experiments were carried out to complete 260 intersections as a first phase, and the operations touched on Mohamed Belouizdad Street, Al-Maadoumin Street, and Hasiba Street.
