Minister of Industry: “The local product competes with international brands and lacks promotion” – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, confirmed that the local product competes with imported and international brands. However, it lacks promotion.

The Minister of Industry said during his visit today to the GITEX factory for the textile and leather industry. This complex meets Algeria’s needs for clothing and shoes, adding that the country is counting on exporting the product due to the quality of the raw material.

Minister Aoun pointed out that the national product of clothing and shoes competes with imported products, but it lacks promotion in forums and events. Especially since it is of high quality and at reasonable prices, emphasizing the GITEX complex’s promotion of the product.

Minister Aoun explained that some instructions were given to those in charge of the factory regarding careful study of working hours for the sake of the workers. Not to mention providing all security and safety standards in the factory.
