Mokhtar Didouche: Digitizing the management of tourism structures soon – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mokhtar Didouche, announced Thursday evening, on the sidelines of a working visit that he led to the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou, that the digitization of the management of tourism structures will soon begin.
The minister, who examined the rehabilitation and modernization workshops of the climatic stations located in “Thala Gilaf” (Boghni) and “Tamkout” (Akourane), as well as the urban hotels represented in “Amraoua” and “Lalla Khadija” (in the city of Tizi Ouzou), also indicated that “ The digital management of hotel establishments will soon take effect.
With regard to preparing for the next summer season, Didouche confirmed that his ministerial department is working on axes pertaining to all coastal states, which are related to strengthening reception structures and creating all the necessary conditions in order to “ensure the comfort of citizens as well as security, as well as the activities necessary for a holiday in an atmosphere of calm.”
The minister considered that in addition to beach tourism, his ministerial department pays special attention to other forms of tourism such as climate, thermal and religious tourism.
With regard to religious tourism, the minister highlighted that “many places in the Kabylie region organize religious parties that are part of our heritage and culture, so these parties should be taken care of and appropriate structures such as those provided for beach tourism should be provided.”
During his visit to the climatic station of Thalat Gilaf, which includes the Cedars Hotel (200 beds), the Village Hotel (258 beds), a recreation center (105 beds) and a restaurant, the executing company committed itself to the gradual delivery of various structures during this summer, starting with the Cedars Hotel.
With regard to the Tamqout Hotel (79 rooms), Lalla Khadija (80 beds) and Amraoua (130 rooms), the Minister gave instructions to respect the delivery commitments and to strengthen the human resources involved in the construction workshops so that they are delivered within the specified deadlines.
He also reassured, saying that the Amraoua Hotel “will be included in the 2025 African Cup of Nations file, if it is ready and delivered on this date.”
In the same regard, the minister announced that he had agreed with the governor about hiring young men from the region to meet the needs of running these structures as soon as they took over.
On the other hand, Didouche visited an exhibition of local crafts in the traditional industry house of the new city in Tizi Ouzou, where he attended the process of stamping carpets.
On this occasion, the Minister stressed the importance of this process and its branding to preserve the Algerian heritage of imitation.
