The Minister of Irrigation emphasizes forward-looking planning to develop the water sector – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

During his visit to Bouira state on Saturday, the Minister of Irrigation, Taha Darbal, stressed the necessity of adopting a forward-looking view in modern planning and management of the sector, with the aim of raising the efficiency of services and improving the quality of water supply to citizens.

The Minister stressed the acceleration of the completion of ongoing projects and the diversification of water sources by linking the state to the Tigrimat and Cap Jannat 2 desalination plants, in addition to exploiting filtered waste water for agricultural irrigation. He also called for respecting the scale of priorities to ensure that investments are directed towards projects that have a direct impact.

Darbal concluded by emphasizing continued support for water security and local development, praising the efforts that improved water supply during the month of Ramadan.
