Opening of the exhibition on the history of printing the Holy Qur’an… and a large turnout of visitors – New Algeria

The exhibition also dedicates a pavilion to display the Algerian Qur’an in Braille, directed to the blind, in a step that reflects the Ministry’s keenness to enable various segments of society to read and benefit from the Holy Qur’an.
This cultural event provides visitors with the opportunity to learn closely about the stages of development of the printing of the Holy Qur’an in Algeria, and to see the scientific and artistic efforts that have been made to control its holy text in accordance with the approved rules, in order to preserve the integrity of the Holy Qur’an and the accuracy of its printing.
The exhibition was well received by visitors who flocked to it in large numbers from different age groups, young and old, and on the occasion free copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed to the attendees.
This wide turnout reflects the extent of Algerians’ attachment to the Book of God Almighty and their connection to it in recitation, memorization and contemplation, which embodies the distinguished position that the Holy Qur’an occupies in the conscience of Algerian society.
