CS Belouizdad seeks to surprise its Egyptian host, Port Saidi – New Algeria

The Belouizdad youth team seeks to achieve a positive result against its host, the Egyptian club Port Saidi, when they meet, this evening, Saturday (21:00 Algerian time), for the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup for football.

CS Belouizdad is currently going through a bright period, having played nine matches without defeat in all competitions. The Egyptian squad, coached by the former coach of CS Belouizdad, Tunisian Kouki, and whose colors are carried by Algerians Abderrahim Daghmoum and Monzer Tammin, was defeated in its last outing by El Gouna Club (1-0), for the Egyptian League and the Egyptian Championship.

Al-Masry Club of Port Said currently ranks fifth with 32 points. And with a large difference from the leaders, Zamalek (43 points).

The return match between the two teams will be held next Saturday, at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki. The winner of the match between Al-Masry Club of Port Said and CS Belouizdad will meet the winner of the match between Congolese Otoho Club and Zamalek of Egypt. The semi-final matches will be held between April 10 and 12 (first leg) and April 17 and 19 (back). The final will be held in a home-and-away format in the month of May.
