Installing vigilance cells to confront weather fluctuations across the states

The local authorities, in coordination with the various concerned departments, continue to monitor the field situation and take the necessary measures to take care of the effects recorded as a result of the weather fluctuations witnessed in some states of the country, as well as to ensure the safety of citizens and their property, while activating the proactive plans that the Minister of the Interior, local authorities, and transportation called for to implement in anticipation of various emergency situations, through the installation of vigilance cells to confront weather fluctuations across the states.
In this context, field interventions were recorded to absorb accumulated rainwater in some neighborhoods and residential areas, in addition to draining water from roads in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of road users, in addition to placing equipment and technical teams on alert to intervene when necessary, especially in areas that witnessed snowfall or low visibility due to fog.
Local authorities began field trips to inspect potential black spots for rainwater accumulation and follow up on intervention operations, while remaining in a constant state of vigilance in anticipation of any emergency related to these weather fluctuations.
The recent weather fluctuations have caused the closure of many roads and axes due to snow and heavy rain. The National Gendarmerie indicated that the road was closed on the bypass road linking to State Road No. 4 in the area called Wadi al-Hasara, the municipality of Bouqais, due to high water levels. As for Naama State, difficulty was recorded in walking on National Road No. 6C, linking the municipalities of Jenin, Bourzq, and Sfisifa due to snowfall. The same authorities also warned of dense fog on the highway, exactly east-west. High level, Ain Tfif, direction of Khemis Miliana, Ain Defla Province.
In this regard, the relevant authorities called on citizens to exercise caution, especially road users, and to adhere to safety instructions to avoid risks associated with bad weather conditions.
The Algeria state services began extensive field interventions following the weather fluctuations that the state witnessed during the last hours. This was after the special bulletin of the Meteorological Department, which expected significant amounts of rain to fall, possibly reaching 40 mm. In this context, the various field teams of the state intervened simultaneously, embarking on extensive operations to clear the waterways and purify the drains, in addition to removing the mud and waste that caused the closure of some axes and roads.
These interventions came especially after the precipitation peaked during a short period of time that did not exceed one hour, during which the state experienced heavy rains. The concerned departments also harnessed all human and material capabilities to reopen the damaged roads and return traffic to its normal condition, while continuing the interventions through various points that were known to accumulate rainwater, after some imbalances were recorded in a number of areas.
The competent authorities also recorded soil erosion at the level of the “Free Fallon” slope, as the field teams’ interventions continued without interruption, even during breakfast time, in an effort to ensure the safety of citizens and reduce the effects of weather fluctuations.
In the same context, the Algiers state services indicated that they are carrying out daily and continuous operations across the various municipalities, within the framework of proactive measures in anticipation of the expected weather fluctuations. Immediately after the announcement of the weather bulletin, field teams were strengthened and vigilance cells were installed with intensification of interventions, with the aim of facilitating the flow of rainwater and reducing its effects.
