Responsible steps to preserve the social character of the state

The Office of the Expanded National Assembly noted the directives issued by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the last Council of Ministers, and his keenness to guarantee the rights of the youth group, preserve their dignity, and raise their status, as well as the responsible steps that aim to preserve the social character of the state, especially with regard to the necessity of providing Eid sacrifices that will be purchased from abroad, at controlled and studied prices that take into account the condition and circumstances of citizens.

The office itself, at the conclusion of an expanded meeting chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Azouz Nasseri, which included the heads of the parliamentary groups and the parliamentary observer, was devoted to considering the work calendar of the National Assembly during the period between March 30 and April 6, 2026, in addition to studying the status of the oral and written questions deposited with the office, for the diligent follow-up and close attention given by the President of the Republic to curb the greed of speculators who have not been deterred by any punishment. Regarding the items on the agenda, the text of the organic law related to political parties has been referred to the Committee on Legal and Administrative Affairs, Human Rights, Local Organization, Territory Preparation, and Territorial Division, which will hear from the Minister of the Interior on the occasion of its study of this text, next Sunday. The Council’s office also decided to resume public public sessions, starting on the morning of Monday, March 30, 2026, to present and discuss the text of the organic law related to political parties. The discussion will continue at noon on the same day, followed by the interventions of the group heads. Parliament, provided that the government representative, the Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, then responds to the interventions and concerns of Council members.

The office of the enlarged National Assembly also decided to refer the text of the law containing the budget settlement for the year 2023 to the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee. The date of the public session designated for presenting the text of this law and voting on it has been set for Tuesday, March 31, 2026. It is scheduled that the text of the organic law related to political parties, the disputed provisions in the text of the law criminalizing French colonialism in Algeria, and the disputed provisions in the text of the law, scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026, will be ratified.
