President Tebboune’s decisions are important and are in the interest of the citizen

The General Union of Algerian Tradesmen and Craftsmen expressed its high appreciation for the strict decisions issued by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, during the recent Cabinet meeting, which dealt with a number of strategic economic and social files.

The Federation confirmed in an official statement that the President’s directives to intensify field monitoring to combat illegal speculation, especially in some imported fruits and meat, and to impose the inclusion of violators on blacklists, represent a clear message that the national market will not be a field for chaos or manipulation of citizens’ livelihoods.

The Federation stressed its full commitment to working side by side with public authorities to cleanse the market of speculators and intruders, and to establish a culture of fair trade based on respect for the law and professional ethics, in a way that protects the honest trader and enhances trust between the citizen and the market.

The Union expressed its satisfaction with the decisions related to the import of sacrificial animals in anticipation of Eid Al-Adha, setting the price ceiling at 50 thousand dinars, and imposing strict control on the import and distribution path, to ensure the abundance of the product, protect the purchasing power of the citizen, and prevent any attempt at monopoly or speculation.

The statement explained that honest merchants and economic dealers will remain essential partners in ensuring market stability and regular supply, stressing the Union’s commitment to accompanying and mentoring them to enhance the spirit of economic responsibility, serve the interest of the nation, and maintain economic and social balances.

The Union’s statement, signed by Issam Badrisi, Secretary-General and Official Spokesman, concluded by emphasizing that the current stage requires an integrated, participatory approach between the government, professional organizations, economic actors and various national forces, with the aim of building a strong and diversified emerging national economy, capable of facing challenges and achieving sustainable development, in a way that consolidates the sovereignty of national economic decision-making and serves the interest of the Algerian citizen.
