Women participated in the new, victorious and rising renaissance of Algeria

Lieutenant General Saïd Changriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, chaired, on Sunday evening, at the National Club of the Army, a breakfast ceremony and a tribute ceremony in honor of the female military and civilian employees of the Ministry of National Defence, as well as the female employees of the common corps, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, during which he stressed that women participated in the new, victorious and rising renaissance of Algeria.

The ceremony of this honoring ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, the commanders of the forces, the Commander of the Republican Guard, the Director of the Bureau at the Ministry of National Defense, the Commander of the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the First Military Region, the heads of departments, the Controller General of the Army, and central directors from the Ministry of National Defense and the staff of the National People’s Army.

On this occasion, the team delivered its first speech in which it confirmed that it sees, today, on the ground, the effects of women’s participation and their remarkable contribution to the new and victorious renaissance of Algeria:
“On this happy occasion, I would like to convey to all female military and civilian employees the congratulations and blessings of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Minister of National Defense, thanks to whose wise policy today we are seeing on the ground the effects of women’s participation and their contribution to the new, victorious and rising renaissance of Algeria.

In this particular regard, the first team added, “We in the People’s National Army were keen to open all doors for women, whether military or civilian, to rise to the higher ranks and enter the various specializations of the military profession, such as aviation in its various types, parachuting, working on warships, driving motorcycles in the National Gendarmerie units for road security, and even working within battle strength units and combat units.”

He also highly praised the boldness and courage of Algerian women in the face of colonialism and barbaric terrorism, and also praised their important role in society, saying, “I also highly value the role of Algerian women in society, because they are the ones who inherit and pass on the message of love for the homeland and pride in belonging to it, and loyalty to the sacrifices of our righteous martyrs and their immortal message. She is the pivotal actor around whom social relations are formed, and through whom the basic functions of the family in the field of raising generations are carried out.” And instilling in them republican values and the peculiarities of national culture, and the duty of preparing a conscious generation, capable of facing the challenges of the present and the future, in the spirit of citizenship and responsibility.”

Finally, Chengriha said, “On this happy occasion, I cannot fail to salute the courage of the Algerian woman, who stood tall in the face of various colonial campaigns throughout history, and confronted barbaric terrorism with unparalleled courage and contributed to thwarting its dark project.”

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the first team honored some of the female employees with symbolic gifts, urging them to rise to the challenge and continue working hard and diligently, wishing them good luck and success in their professional path.
