Iran launches drone attacks on American forces and threatens ships in Hormuz – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Iranian army announced today, Saturday, the launch of an intense wave of drone attacks on American targets in the Emirates and Kuwait, as the American-Israeli war against Iran enters its second week.
The Iranian army stated in a statement carried by the official IRNA agency, “The Iranian Navy targeted American bases and the occupied territories with an intense wave of drone attacks.” The statement explained that among the targeted sites was Al-Minhad Air Base in the UAE, which houses American forces, in addition to another base in Kuwait and a “strategic facility” in the occupied territories.
In another context, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it is “waiting” for the American forces that will accompany commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz, where navigation has become almost paralyzed in light of the American-Zionist war with Iran.
Commenting on the announcement by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who reported that the US Navy was preparing to accompany ships in the strategic strait, Ali Mohammad Naeini, spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, said: “We are waiting for them.” He added, according to what was reported by Fars Agency, “We recommend that the Americans, before making any decision, remember the fire that targeted the giant American oil tanker Bridgeton in 1987 and the oil tankers that were targeted recently.”
