Chabab Belouizdad defeated Mouloudia Algiers, making its way to the semi-finals of the Algerian Senior Men’s Football Cup.
The two teams met, on Tuesday evening, at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, in the presence of the receiving team’s fans, i.e. the Belouizdad youth, as stipulated in the Football Association’s regulations.
The “derby” match fulfilled all its promises, as it scored five full goals within 120 minutes.
Tunisian striker Mohamed Ali Ben Hamouda gave CS Belouizdad the lead in the 17th minute with a powerful header.
Key defender Ayoub Ghazala responded from Mouloudia Algeria, after successfully converting a penalty kick in the 29th minute.
International left back Nofal Khasif hit a powerful ball towards the ninetieth corner of goalkeeper Alexis Guendouz to score the second goal for Al-Shabab at the start of the second half.
Guinean striker Saliou Bangoura made an adjustment in the final hour, delaying the decision until two additional periods.
Youssef Laaoufi scored the victory goal for German coach Siad Ramovich’s squad, in the 101st minute.
The Constantine club wins with difficulty
The Constantinian fans, who flocked in large numbers to the stands of the Chahid Hamalaoui Stadium, on Tuesday evening, waited until the hundredth minute to watch their team secure the ticket to qualify for the semi-finals at the expense of JS Bejaia.
Commander Ibrahim Deeb was obstructed inside the penalty area, earning a penalty kick, which midfielder Mohamed Ben Shaira finished in the net.
The Constantine club, which is coached by Tunisian Saad Dridi, will clash with CS Belouizdad in the Algeria Cup semi-finals.
In other matches, USM Al Saoura will host JS Saoura at the 5 July 1962 Stadium, on Wednesday evening.
Chabab Oras Batna hosts Mouloudia Saida Club, on the field of November 1, 1954 Stadium.
