Launching a national platform for the expertise of pedagogical supports – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the launch of the national platform for online pedagogical support expertise, within the framework of supporting distance education and enhancing the quality of digital content directed to students of higher education institutions.
The document issued by the National Committee for Installation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Distance Education explained that the new platform aims to organize the process of evaluating and matching the lessons and pedagogical supports published electronically, according to precise mechanisms that guarantee transparency and objectivity.
Under the approved experience system, every professor who has prepared a pedagogical support that meets the specified conditions can submit an experience request through the platform designated for that purpose, but activating the support registration remains conditional on a full six-year period of actual distance teaching.
The task of evaluating the content is assigned to two experts who are randomly selected through the platform, with the list of experts determined by the National Committee in consultation with officials of university institutions, with the requirement that one of the two experts be from the same institution to which the prop holder belongs.
In the event of a difference in the evaluation between the two experts, the procedures stipulate that a third expert be used to decide on the decision, which enhances the credibility and effectiveness of the process.
This step comes in the context of the Ministry’s efforts to consolidate digital transformation at the Algerian university, and to raise the quality of e-learning by adopting clear standards for evaluating digital pedagogical content.
