Opening of the second training course for journalists on constitutional democracy and the ethics of electoral action – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Monday, Karim Khalfan, Acting Head of the Independent National Election Authority, accompanied by the Minister of Communication, Zouhair Bouamama, supervised the opening of the second training course for journalism, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communication, organized in cooperation between the two bodies under the title: “Deepening constitutional democracy, the ethics of electoral action, and their relationship with the media.”

This course comes as a continuation of the outcomes of the first session organized by the Authority in November 2025, within the framework of enhancing the capabilities of journalists and enabling them to perform their role as companions and observers of electoral and referendum processes, in a way that supports the principles of transparency and professionalism and deepens democratic practice.

More than 40 journalists representing public and private media, from television and radio channels, to print and electronic journalism, participated in the course, while the scientific program covered lectures and applied workshops on the legal and professional challenges and ethics of journalistic work during electoral periods, presented by specialized professors.

The training day concluded with the handing over of certificates of participation to journalists, and honoring the supervising professors, in honor of their contribution to the success of the course and enhancing the role of the media as an essential partner in consolidating democratic practice and the ethics of electoral work.
