Handball: Announcing a national talent development program

The Algerian Handball Federation revealed the launch of a national program to discover, select, and then train young talents for the future.
The members of the technical committee met with the regional directors and the national goalkeeper cell about a week ago.
This appointment resulted in Mourad Kararoubi’s presentation of a Riad project that aims to follow 120 young talents distributed over four geographical regions.
The first implementation phase will begin in April and June, and will continue in July and September of this year.
The work is focused on holding camps and evaluation courses for the category under 15 years of age for males and under 16 years of age for females.
The technical committee will be keen to form a central database to follow up on each male and female player individually.
The committee will appoint technical directors at the head of each region, and each of them will be tasked with preparing the training camps program for the purpose of unifying the playing method that the national teams will rely on in the future.
Kamal Oushia, coordinator of the National Goalkeepers Cell, will also supervise the organization of a training camp to hone the potential of the young goalkeepers.
The Kararubi project also includes the inclusion of periodic training for youth group coaches.
It should be noted that the President of the Algerian Handball Federation, Mourad Bousbet, appointed Mourad Kararoubi to the position of Assistant National Technical Director and Director of the Federal Project for the Development of the Game last November.
Kararubi stated earlier that his goal is to form a cohesive artistic structure that works to ensure the formation of young talents with standards that meet the high level.
