Qatar announces the suspension of gas production after the marches attack

Qatar Energy Company announced today, Monday, the cessation of production of liquefied natural gas and related products, after two drone attacks targeted its operational facilities in the industrial cities of Ras Laffan and Mesaieed.
The company operates 14 LNG production lines with an annual capacity of 77 million tons, making it the world’s largest LNG producer.
The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced the Iranian attack, which targeted water tanks in a factory in Mesaieed and an energy facility in Ras Laffan, without recording any casualties.
The Ministry called on citizens and residents to adhere to official instructions and avoid rumours, while the advisor to the Prime Minister and spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al-Ansari, confirmed that the Iranian attacks targeted civilian infrastructure, including attempts to strike Hamad International Airport, which were completely thwarted.
