President Tebboune: Algeria’s security is part of Arab security – New Algeria

A series of communications conducted yesterday by the President of the Republic Abdel Majeed Tebbounethrough phone calls with the leaders of the Arab countries that were subjected to attacks against the backdrop of the American-Zionist war on IranIt has a very important diplomatic significance, and carries more than one message.
In addition to the values of solidarity that it carries and is imposed on it by the duty of neighborliness and brotherhood towards the Arab countries and peoples facing the consequences of this war, there are other very important issues related to the established political principles and values for Algeria, which rejects any aggression or threat to the national security of any country, especially if it is within the regional, continental, or Arab environment, and this is whatever the justifications.
Yesterday, Sunday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune made a series of contacts that included the Arab countries that were subjected to missile and drone attacks by Iran, as a response to the war launched against them by the United States of America and the Zionist entity. President Tebboune telephoned Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and during this call, the two parties touched, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic, on developments in the situation in the Middle East, where President Tebboune expressed “his full support for the mediation role of His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar to stop… “The dangerous escalation taking place in the Middle East, wishing for an urgent return to tranquility and peace in the region.” The President of the Republic also held a phone call with Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to discuss the situation in the region and its effects on the Jordanian people, according to what was reported the day before yesterday, Sunday, in a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
The same thing happened with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as the President of the Republic reassured him, the King, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Saudi people in light of the difficult circumstances that the Middle East region is going through, “expressing his hope for the return of peace and security in the immediate future,” according to what was stated in a statement by the Presidency of the Republic. In the same context President Abdelmadjid Tebboune held a phone call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, in which they discussed developments in the dangerous military escalation taking place in the Middle East region. A statement by the Presidency of the Republic said: The call was an opportunity through which President Tebboune expressed to the Sultan of Oman “his hope for the return of security, peace and tranquility to the region and his appreciation for the role of Omani mediation and the very positive results it achieved,” and in a phone call he also made with Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, in which they discussed the dangerous security deterioration taking place in the Middle East. President Tebboune expressed to the Emir of the State of Kuwait his “support for establishing urgent peace and security, in a way that preserves the interests and safety of the brotherly Kuwaiti people.”
These direct contacts conducted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune with the leaders of the Arab countries whose countries were the scene of the Iranian response, translate the clear, frank and also principled position of Algerian diplomacy, as it set dividing lines between Algeria’s rejection of the barbaric attack carried out by America and the Zionist entity on the State of Iran, and the latter’s reactions, which included Arab countries not directly concerned with the war, especially since most of the countries that were subjected to Iranian missile attacks had announced it explicitly. It will not accept that Iran be attacked from its territory.
Attaf receives ambassadors from Arab countries that were subjected to military attacks
On the other hand, and within the same solidarity orientation, and under the guidance of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received, the day before yesterday, Sunday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the ambassadors of the Arab countries that were subjected to military attacks in the context of the current wave of escalation in the region, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During this meeting, which came in the wake of the dangerous and rapid developments taking place Arabian Gulf regionAttaf expressed “Algeria’s full solidarity with the sister Arab countries that were affected by the military attacks,” stressing “our country’s categorical rejection of any infringement on the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of these sister countries, as well as the security of their people.” The Minister also stressed “Algeria’s permanent standing by its Arab brothers in the face of the unacceptable violations they have been subjected to and the resulting human and material damage.” On the other hand, he reiterated “Algeria’s position calling for an immediate cessation of all forms of escalation and giving priority to the logic of dialogue and restraint, in order to spare the region further tension and prevent the expansion of the conflict and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international security.”
