Harnessing the intervention means of the Ministry of Defense to confront the dangers of locusts – New Algeria

It came in Statement of the Ministry of Interior “The Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, ABy Saeed SaeedIn the joint ministerial meeting chaired by Prime Minister Seifi Gharib, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, which was devoted to assessing the readiness of the proactive action plan drawn up to contain the spread of locusts in some states of the southwest, with the participation of the governors concerned via remote visual lecture technology.
The Ministry explained that this meeting falls within the framework of the continuous assessment of the risks of the spread of desert locusts and their development in the region in accordance with updates from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and the exploitation of national capabilities in the field of Satellites.
She added that the presentations presented highlighted the readiness of the field work plans prepared for this purpose, which proved their effectiveness last year, while increasing the readiness of the vigilance and surveillance devices at the level of the southern border states, which constitute the first front in the confrontation, and strengthening the means of ground and air intervention, especially those affiliated with the Ministry of Homeland Defense.
