Launching a national campaign to prevent traffic accidents during the month of Ramadan – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The National Delegation for Road Security began implementing a national awareness-raising campaign to prevent traffic accidents on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Al-Saeed Saioud.

The campaign raises the slogan: “Ramadan brings us together… not traffic accidents that divide us.”It aims to enhance awareness of the dangers of traffic accidents during the fasting period, while emphasizing the necessity of adhering to traffic rules and respecting the traffic law in order to preserve the safety of road users.

In this context, the state delegations for road security across the various states of the country organized field outings that included road axes, public spaces, passenger transportation stations, and gas stations, in coordination with the security services and partners from agencies, institutions, and civil society activities active in the field of traffic safety.

Awareness brochures were also distributed and practical advice was provided to drivers on the principles of safe driving, especially during fasting hours, with calls for avoiding excessive speed, fatigue, and respecting the safety distance, which contributes to reducing accidents and ensuring safe transportation for everyone during the holy month.
